The award has been awarded annually since 1968 in recognition of outstanding service to the local community. This years winner is Owen Thompson, a resident in Hastings since 1966.

The presentation was made in the fabulous "Durbar Hall" with the reception in the Long Gallery at Hastings Museum

stings WeekOwen Thompson, with his friends and family after receiving the prestigious "Order of 1066" for services to the community in Hastings, particularly multiculturalism, older people, St Michael's Hospice, Citizen's Advice Bureau and setting up the Hastings Intercultural Organisation.
